SCADA Engineers are certified to work on SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems that monitor every aspect of pipeline operations. They should be experienced in all pipeline automation and control systems (fiber optic and microwave) that run on the Windows operating systems. SCADA Engineers must have experience interfacing with multiple remote stations and monitoring more than 1,000 miles of pipeline network. They must show proficiency with ultrasonic flowmeters, smart pressure transmitters, flow and temperature transmitters, smart pressure and level switches, and other field instrumentation associated with automated pipeline monitoring.
SCADA Engineers must be experienced with PLC automation and operation, P&IDs, data networks based on TCP/IP, construction diagrams, and industrial protocol infrastructure using both fiber optic and coax cable media.
