Oil Refinery Shift Supervisor

Refinery shift Supervisors are responsible for ensuring that the plant is operating according to company standards in addition to delegating workload accordingly. Shift Supervisors are also responsible for ensuring adherence to plant operating standards, training of new operators, and monitoring employees in the refinery to maintain proper work order and discipline. An associate’s degree is required in some refineries, but experience is generally regarded as more valuable. Experience with Microsoft Office is valued as well. Some refineries require three or more years of experience working in each major area of a refinery (15 years in all).
