Pipeliners can receive a good salary and benefits, especially in the oil and gas industry. According to Salary.com, the median wage for pipeliners is approximately $58,000 per year. The low end of the pay scale is approximately $53,000, while the top earners received $89,000 per year. More senior pipeliners, who have several years of experience, can earn more than $110,000 per year. This often also includes overtime pay or shift differentials or premiums.

Most pipeliners also receive health and dental insurance, paid vacations, holidays, and sick days, as well as pension or retirement plans, the option to join a profit sharing plan, or other special bonuses or pay. As mentioned, union employees’ salaries and benefits are usually negotiated with or through the local union representative or the company’s union representative and can vary widely from company to company and from region to another.
