Pump System Operator

Pump System Operators control the operation of refinery processing units with a focus on manifold and pumping systems that circulate liquids through the refinery. They gauge the levels of oil in storage tanks and regulate the flow of oil into pipelines. Control panel experience must include knowledge of regulating temperature, pressure, and flow rates into and from tanks. Skills are required in analyzing specifications, logs, test results, schedules and recommendations in order to calibrate equipment controls to produce the required product quality and quantities.
