KCA DEUTAG currently manages more than 100 drilling rigs worldwide, operating in more than 20 countries and employing more than 8,000 personnel. We continue to build capability in our key areas of North and West Africa, Europe, Russia, the Middle East, the North Sea and the Caspian Sea, by investing in new rigs, the refurbishment and upgrading of existing equipment, and training personnel to ensure that we remain the Drilling Contractor of Choice. KCA DEUTAG has expanded its operations in several countries with operating conditions ranging from desert to arctic environments. New operations have been established in Algeria, Gabon, Mexico, Saudi Arabia and Thailand and significant expansion achieved in Azerbaijan, Nigeria and Russia (both Siberia and Sakhalin Island). KCA DEUTAG has expanded its land rig fleet to more than 60 rigs. KCA DEUTAG is responsible for over 30 managed offshore platforms in the North Sea, Caspian, Angola, and Sakhalin.
